Amber Bargas is based in the Central Valley has been working as a Pharmacy Technician since 1989. She started as a clerk at Drug Emporium and was grandfathered-in. She went on to work for both Memorial North and South, Sutter Gould, Hughson Pharmacy and Folsom Prison. She went back to college in 2003 and after challenging the course was able to pass the CPh.T. Working in hospitals and understanding their need for an advanced technician is what is her driving force today. Many of the duties required were filling for the ER, OR, TELE, ONC, Mental Health, Skilled Nursing, and Labor and Delivery floors. Later she went on to specialized medicine which required knowledge in chemical compounding….much of which is taught in her class. When not working she enjoys spending time with a son, two small daughters and their fathers family at home in the country.
